在我們甲狀腺腫瘤的手術，結合了保護聲帶發聲的返喉神經「神經探測系統」(IONM: intra-op nerve monitor system)、「組織凝集刀」(Ligasure)，再加上「外科傷口保護撐開環」(wound protector / retractor)等等手術輔助利器，讓現在我們的甲狀腺手術成為更迅速(多數甲狀腺手術約1個多小時完成)、更簡單、更安全的手術！

這些絕對不是10年前的台灣在開甲狀腺的傳統方法。

醫學科技的進步與應用，真的像手機等高科氣電子產品一樣神速。

塑膠柔軟的環形撐開器，在手術當中減少了傳統使用金屬器械將傷口撐開的機械外力摩擦，保持濕潤減少感染機會，也可以減少日後傷口癒合後的疤痕與色素沉積反應，有助於傷口復原後的美觀。

塑膠環形撐開器的360度環型撐開傷口，可以均勻分散力道與完全撐開傷口，有助達到：『以最小的傷口，獲取最大的手術視野』！！

甲狀腺手術傷口『皮膚保護環』

甲狀腺手術傷口我們都盡量最小化，除非是很大的腫瘤(超過5公分以上)，否則我們通常會將脖子上的手術傷口盡量控制在3~6公分內。
如果使用「傷口保護環」(安全環型傷口撐開器)輔助手術的話，可以避免手術當中因為使用了「小傷口」而必須的"不均勻"拉勾拉扯，可以減少傷口邊緣的皮膚受損與瘀血程度，有助減少日後「疤痕」的形成程度！
因為透明包膜的保護傷口，可以保持傷口的濕潤，降低感染的機會。
而環狀撐開傷口的平均施力，可以最小的切口卻獲得最大的手術視野！

另外，如果以我們耳鼻喉科內視鏡施行甲狀腺的內視鏡微創手術(MIVAT: minimally invasive video-assisted thyroidectomy)時，此360度環形撐開器還可以隔開四周傷口與肌肉碰觸內視鏡鏡頭的機會，減少鏡頭的沾血而影響視線，輕易的提起外面的白色環，可以輕易增加頸部內部的手術空間，方便內視鏡與微創器械的操作！
此產品來自美國，有多種尺寸可以搭配提供不同大小的傷口需求，手術當中的操作也十分方便迅速。

When performing MIVAT (minimally invasive video-assisted thyroidectomy), this retractor can help easily elevate the surrounding skin flap to create more operation space within the thyroid wound & the membrane tunnel of the protector retractor can keep the endoscopes away from the bloody surrounding tissues that often contact & contaminate the endoscopic lens and make the lens blurred.
