現今我們手術使用組織凝集刀(Ligasure)與聲帶返喉神經探測器(Intro-op nerve monitor system)，甲狀腺手術在脖子的傷口通常3到5公分以內，標準的"單側全葉切除與對側部分切除" 的實際手術時間(不含麻醉作業)多數在70分鐘以內完成。
It usually take about less than 70 minutes to complete unilateral total lobectomy & contralateral partial/subtotal lobectomy of thyroid gland with the assistance of LIGASURE & INTRA-OP NERVE MONITORING SYTEM, including identifying recurrent laryngeal nerves. And the neck skin incison wound is usually designed to be less than 5 cm, mostly around 3 cm as possible as we can.
